POWER LUNCH is a non-denominational worship experience open to all. You are welcome to experience clear and relevant biblical preaching and teaching, engaging worship, and warm fellowship with other God seekers. Every week free bag lunches are provided to all who attend.
Every first Wednesday of the month at Landmark’s E Street Cinema (555 11th Street NW, Washington, DC 20004), POWER LUNCH blesses professionals working in the Washington D.C. metro area with dynamic preaching, sound biblical teaching, and a Spirit-filled worship experience.
Ten years ago, God gave POWER LUNCH founder, Rev. Matthew L. Watley, the vision for a ministry that would address the spiritual needs of busy professionals working in downtown Washington D.C. On September 10, 2001, Power Lunch opened its doors in a federal building just one day prior to the tragic events that would change the course of America’s history. In the weeks that followed, POWER LUNCH was uniquely and strategically positioned by God to minister to the needs of not only those whose lives had been impacted by the events of 9/11, but all those who sought to be in deeper relationship with Christ Jesus.
Today POWER LUNCH has grown into a flourishing ministry organization and continues to minister the Word of God while building community among believers. Rev. Watley can be heard preaching and teaching to a standing-room only congregation, gathered together in worship on their lunch hour. We are continually excited about how God is using this ministry to win souls, bring revival, and call people into service for the kingdom.
